There are a few Philanthropists who’ve helped change the conversation about issues going on around us. We’d like to highlight them and their efforts.
John Legend
Legend has created campaigns such as The Show Me Campaign and the Free America Campaign to gain access to quality education for every child and to get everyone involved in the criminal justice system in order to reform it.
Legend’s Show Me Campaign seeks to provide educators that bring out the creativity and potential in youth no matter the economical background. The goal is to steer the student away from the distractions in their communities that force them down the wrong path.
Stating, “Unlock our potential” the Free America Campaign has given a voice for individuals and their families who have been affected by the criminal justice system. It helps to provide insight on the system, it’s purpose, and how it deviates from the betterment of individuals.
Priscilla Chan and Mark Zukerberg
Mark Zukerberg and wife Priscilla Chan created the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to help provide funding for research and technology to help cure, prevent, and manage diseases that affect children’s learning. Their goal is to give every child a
fair advantage at learning.
Bill and Melinda Gates
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation gears its focus on the communities and areas with the greatest needs. Their ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life in those locations so that everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed. Whether it’s health, poverty, or education, their foundation seeks to find the resources to help these communities thrive.
